Our Story
Suburban Music was established in 1996 in Downtown Wheaton as a family-owned, full-service music center offering lessons, repairs, rentals, gear for all instruments.

Downtown Wheaton Association awarded Suburban Music "Wheaton's People's Choice" Award. Wheaton Chamber of Commerce awarded Suburban Music the “Best of Wheaton” Award for Arts Education. Daily Herald Newspaper has awarded Suburban Music “Reader’s Choice” award for Music Retail.

We offer music lessons and group classes for all instruments and voice for every age and skill level. Our students enjoy a 15% discount when they shop in the store. We feature live student performances, including a spring recital, Christmas recital and participation in local events such as festivals, parades, and battle of the bands. 

The teaching staff consists of professional performers & recording artists, all of whom hold college degrees in music.

Band and orchestra rentals are available through Suburban Music. We offer the best rates for top name-brand new & refurbished instruments.

In addition, we service and repair guitars, stringed instruments, folk instruments, electronics, woodwinds, and brass. Repairs on all instruments feature free estimates, quick turnaround times, and a 30-day repair warranty.
