Chloe Liuyan Liu is a musician with a Master of Music in Composition from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Wheaton College. In addition to her achievements as a composer—including awards from the Ise-Shima International Composition Competition, the Global Music Award, and the American Prize—she has extensive experience in piano performance and music education.
With a strong classical foundation, Liu has studied under distinguished mentors and developed a deep understanding of both traditional and contemporary music. Her experience spans composition, electronic music, and performance, allowing her to bring a well-rounded approach to teaching. She is passionate about fostering musical growth in students of all ages, emphasizing both technical proficiency and expressive artistry.
Beyond teaching, Liu composes for film, games, and pop music, and her works have been featured in international music festivals. Her diverse musical background enables her to inspire students with a broad perspective on music-making while tailoring lessons to their individual goals and interests.
