In the spring of 2021, Josh graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's of Music Degree in music performance. There he worked with the University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, and Wind Ensemble, (serving as the section leader for a year). Josh has also played drums in the pit orchestra of 3 student run musicals at the University of Illinois, and worked as the orchestra director for one of them.
Josh has previous experience teaching both percussion and piano and has performed in the past with the Wheaton Municipal Band, Champaign-Urbana Symphony, and Sinfonia da Camera. Before attending the University of Illinois, Josh graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South High School, where he performed with the Concert Bands, Orchestras, Percussion Ensemble, and Marching Band and won the Senior Honor Award for Percussion. He looks forward to teaching all areas of percussion at Suburban Music, helping students to become more well-rounded percussionists.
